Sweat Method is a premier group fitness facility and 24/7 gym in Lower South End (LoSo). It ditches trend-chasing routines for structured, coach-led 30 to 40-minute functional strength and conditioning classes built into progressive 8-week training cycles.
A 30-Minute Class Studio That Also Never Closes
Boutique studios and 24-hour gyms are usually different businesses. Sweat Method runs both from the same address. In July 2025 the LoSo studio added round-the-clock open gym access on top of its existing group class schedule, which means a member can take a coached 30-minute session at 6 a.m. on Tuesday and let themselves in for a solo lift at midnight on Saturday. Owner Justin Gordon framed the change around convenience and variety, and it resolved the usual tradeoff between a studio’s coaching and a gym’s access.
Two Class Types, Thirty Minutes Each
The studio bills itself as Charlotte’s first 30-minute group fitness concept, and the format has stayed deliberately narrow: two class types under one roof, HIIT and LIIT, meaning high-intensity and low-intensity interval training. Members alternate between them across a week rather than choosing from a long menu. Half an hour is the entire premise — long enough to work seriously, short enough that missing it requires a real excuse. Sessions are scalable within the room, so participants set their own load and intensity while coaches move through correcting form.
Classes Are Booked by Text, Not by App Scramble
This is the operational detail that separates Sweat Method from every app-driven studio in the city. Members check the app for availability, then text the studio, and community managers schedule their two or three weekly sessions on their behalf. There is no race to claim a spot when bookings open, and the studio charges no late fees on its group training programs. It is a slower, more human system than the industry standard, and it produces a roster where staff know who is expected in which class.
Coaching That Handles Real Bodies Over Real Timelines
The review base points consistently to adaptation rather than intensity. Members describe training through pregnancy into the ninth month with coaches supplying modifications class by class, and open-gym loyalists who resisted group formats for years describe converting once they found the sessions scalable. Long tenure is common, with multiple reviewers counting three years or more. Trademark records list Justin Gordon and Halle Hillman as the owners behind the brand, and both are named repeatedly in reviews as being on the floor rather than behind a desk.
Two Membership Tiers
Access is split cleanly. One tier covers open gym only, for members who want the equipment and the 24-hour entry without coaching. The other covers open gym plus group training. That structure lets a household split the difference, or lets a member start with classes and add self-directed sessions later without changing studios.
Finding It in LoSo, and Where to Park
The studio occupies Suite 125 at 3700 South Boulevard, at Station #3 in the LoSo development, with its main entrance facing Thousand Hills Coffee Shop. Both street parking and a garage serve the site, and the studio validates garage tickets for 90 minutes if you bring the ticket inside. A hydration station is available, and shoes are required for class. Anyone confirming hours should check directly rather than trusting aggregator listings, several of which still carry outdated schedules and, in one case, describe the business as a yoga studio.
