Megaflex Gym is an inclusive, family-oriented fitness center in Charlotte, North Carolina, operating locations on Stetson Drive and W.T. Harris Boulevard.
Megaflex Gym: Independent Weight Training in Charlotte’s University Area
No class timetable, no signature format, no corporate parent. Megaflex Gym has run as a privately owned weight room on Stetson Drive since January 2014, and the training model is simply that members arrive with their own program and work the floor. The gym reports a membership above 400, drawn from UNC Charlotte students, powerlifters, bodybuilders, competing athletes and older members training for general health.
Machines, Free Weights and a Densely Packed Floor
Equipment is the draw. The gym stocks machines it describes as hard to find in Charlotte alongside conventional plate-loaded and free-weight stations, with enough duplication that waiting for a station is uncommon. The room is compact and filled corner to corner rather than open-plan, and reviewers consistently describe an unusually disciplined floor culture around re-racking and wiping down.
Personal Training with Hard Body Fitness
Co-founder Terry Davis also operates Hard Body Fitness Personal Training Group from the site, offering custom programming and diet plans. By his own published account he once weighed over 300 pounds and managed type II diabetes with daily insulin before losing more than 100 pounds, a history that shapes how the gym positions itself toward beginners as much as toward experienced lifters.
Day Passes and a Second Charlotte Location
Visitors can train on a day pass without committing to membership, which has made the gym a regular stop for people passing through the city. A second Megaflex opened at 3710 W. W.T. Harris Boulevard under the same ownership, giving members a Northlake option alongside the original University site.
